The lingual nerve returns information about taste coming from the front two-thirds portion of the tongue; this nerve is a branch of the trigeminal nerve’s mandibular division. Injuries to the lingual nerve may result from wisdom tooth surgery, as well as injections of a local anaesthetic, or oral surgery. The lingual nerve dissection presentation images resemble those shown on Stuart Orton-Jones’ dental education courses abroad, which have taken place in the following countries: UK, USA, India, Canada, Germany, France, UAE (United Arab Emirates), Australia, Oman, Malaysia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Egypt.
